The MTTC has developed core competencies in a number of areas of benefit to other organizations including grants management, events management and entrepreneur coaching.

Grants Management

The MTTC has provided more than $1.5M in seed and marketing grants to PIs in nonprofit research organizations. Grant recipients have raised more than $22.5M in additional funding and seven companies have been launched based in part on the work funded by these grants. We have developed processes that ensure fair distribution of awards while helping applicants to develop their entrepreneurial skills.  Learn more.

Events Management

We work with many other organizations to produce a broad range of events including industry sectors ranging from life sciences to clean energy and from invitation-only events for a handful of industry experts to conferences attended by several hundred people. We have experience in marketing, obtaining sponsorship, program design, venue logistics, registration and program management at the event. Entrepreneur Coaching

All entrepreneurs are required to receive coaching on their investor pitches prior to participating in an MTTC event. Literally hundreds of entrepreneurs have received this coaching, from graduate students through experienced CEOs. Both the entrepreneurs and their audiences find the resulting presentations to be well above average, leading to high quality events and well over $150M raised in equity and grant funding. Our coaching capabilities can be retained for investors who don’t want to waste their time listening to technology-oriented pitches, for tech transfer officers who want to market their patents more effectively, for entrepreneurs who want to kick-start their funding efforts, and for venture event planners who want to enhance the quality of their programs.
