Conference Description

The Early-Stage Life Sciences Technology Conference is an opportunity for research institutions and recently formed Massachusetts companies to present their life sciences technologies to an audience of angel investors, venture capitalists and corporate investors.

The Conference will feature a Panel: “A New Translational Medicine Player - The New Role of Patients and Philanthropists in Pushing Technologies into the Marketplace”.
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Cancer Research UK, ALS TDI, and others have all funded research in the lab and in companies to accelerate the process of moving promising technologies from the bench through proof of concept and clinical trials and to the patients themselves. This panel of foundation representatives will examine how foundations see their role, how they decide to invest their time and money, what returns they expect, how they fund their efforts and what they can contribute in addition to their funding.
