The portal was developed jointly with MATTO to provide entrepreneurs and investors with a convenient tool for finding intellectual property generated across a broad spectrum of Massachusetts universities and research hospitals. While many Technology Transfer Offices have search engines for their IP on their institution’s website, providing a single portal to the patents produced by our leading institutions enables users to identify the researchers, laboratories and institutions that have the inventions of interest quickly.
Portal Development
The Portal is a joint project of MATTO and the MTTC. The development and implementation of the portal has been paid for by the MTTC, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Biomedical Research Institute, Boston University, Brandeis University, Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University, Joslin Diabetes Center, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Massachusetts General Hospital, McLean Hospital, Northeastern University, The Schepens Eye Research Institute, and Tufts University.
The portal site was developed by Third Sky and via an agreement with iBridge.
MATTO is the Massachusetts Association of Technology Transfer Offices and represents all of the Commonwealth’s TTO’s.
