April 6,
2000; Louisville, KY- MTTC hosted an open house to introduce an innovative
computer repair training program. The training, known as Benchwork Tech, is targeted
towards individuals with computer repair classroom training, but no repair experience.
Students enrolled in Benchwork Tech have an opportunity to get real world, supervised and
directed experience in troubleshooting and repairing computers.

the training at MTTC. |
The open house offered individuals the
chance to get a first hand look at our classrooms and the Benchwork Tech repair area. MTTC
staff and instructors answered questions and guided potential students through the
facility. Local computer related businesses Sonicair, Pomeroy and Manpower Technical were
present to exhibit employment opportunities. Each of these companies were actively seeking
individuals with computer repair training. Graduates of MTTC computer repair courses were
available to give first hand accounts of their experience as students at MTTC.
The Benchwork Tech program is ideal for those
seeking a CompTIA A+ computer repair certification. Students or recent graduates of PC
repair courses should seriously consider this program because practical experience
plus classroom training is required by most companies to qualify for employment in the
computer repair field. |
