Louisville, KY -- The McConnell Technology &
Training Center (MTTC) has been able to provide five remaining members of the JCC
Single Parent Support Group with fully equipped home computers thanks to a generous
gift from an anonymous donor to the Community Foundation of Louisville.
In December of 2002, MTTC was able to provide eleven computers
to the 16-member JCC Single Parent Support Group thanks to support from the Community
Foundation of Louisville. The computers were distributed by a random drawing on December
6 to the first group of members. (See related story MTTC

Just before the end of the year, MTTC and the Community
Foundation of Louisville were able to deliver the computers to the five remaining
students of the group. All sixteen members of the group sent thank-you letters to
MTTC and the Community Foundation of Louisville.
Some exerpts from the thank you notes:
“Thank you for making this a blessed holiday for me.
The contribution you made was outstanding. Being a single parent and being able to
continue my education is hard. You have only made it easier for me and less stressful.”

“I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Brian Daly.
I’m glad that people in the community take notice to the struggle and hard effort
of a single parent. I’m also glad that the community is willing to take action and
help single parents, who are trying to better themselves. This was a true blessing.”
