Nine Iroquois Middle School Students Win Computers in MTTC Essay Contest

Louisville, KY: Nine students from Iroquois Middle School were awarded computers from the McConnell Technology & Training Center (MTTC) after winning the First Annual MTTC “Computers in the Home” essay contest.

Students were asked to write an essay describing why and how having a computer in the home impacts students and their families. Winners were chosen by a committee of English-Language Arts teachers from Iroquois Middle School and representatives of MTTC.

Each student winner will receive a complete, refurbished computer system from MTTC. The top winner in each grade will receive a laptop, with second and third place winners receiving either a laptop or desktop computer.

Councilman Dan Johnson (Louisville Metro Council District 21) presented the awards on Thursday, May 20 at 10:00 am.
