MTTC Presents "Computer Security for Business" seminar for SCORE

Louisville: The Louisville SCORE office is sponsoring a presentation by Bill Thompson, Director of Computer Technology Programs for the McConnell Technology & Training Center (MTTC) on computer security for business.


Date: Wednesday, November 19th, 7:15 am - 9:15 am
Location:     iTRC offices, UofL, located at 201 E. Jefferson St. (corner of Jefferson and Brook Streets)
Cost: $25.00 per person, pre-registration required, and includes a continental breakfast.

"Computer Security for Business" will cover an overview of the environment and potential computer threats for businesses and networks. Topics will include:

  • Assessing computer threats and potential damage
  • Response options, risk mitigation and disaster recovery
  • Steps you can take to protect your computer systems
  • Checklists for evaluating your system
  • Using "strong" passwords and identification numbers
