UNREP
Phone/Distance Line
Problem: During an along-side Underway Replenishment,
at least two crewmen are required to tend the current phone and distance lines.
Solution: Determine if commercial electronic devices
such as hand-held laser range-finders (distance) and walkie-talkies (telephone) can
operationally replace the current system. |

during UNREPs.
