KAIZEN & SHOPFLOOR ORGANIZATION
(A ONE-DAY WORKSHOP)
Course Description:
This workshop is designed to teach process
improvement techniques in order to identify and eliminate non-value added
activities in shopfloor processes for productivity improvements, efficient
resource and space utilization, and reduce work-in-process inventories.
Students will learn the 5S tools to organize a
cluttered work environment and strategies for sustaining a 5S program.
Students
will apply the learning techniques in an in-class manufacturing simulation
exercise. Learn firsthand how to establish a rhythm to the production
flow, implement a one-piece flow method, and eliminate work-in-process
that may be hiding production problems.
