at the MTTC


* Evening Hours! * New Lab! *

The University of Louisville AutoCAD Training Center and the Manufacturing Technology Transfer Center (MTTC) offer CAD classes during convenient weekday evening hours. The classes will be held at the MTTC’s new CAD lab located in the heart of the Greater Louisville Technology Park (formerly, the Naval Ordnance Station, see map on the back). AutoCAD 3-D Modeling and Rendering
20 Hours, $495
Tuesdays and Thursdays

Prerequisite:

AutoCAD for the Professional: Level I or equivalent experience.

Description:

A hands-on course designed to provide experienced 2D AutoCAD users with an understanding of 3D wireframe, surface, and solid modeling, shading, and rendering features.

Content:

  • Basic 3D concepts
  • 3D lines, 3D faces, 3D polylines
  • Coordinate systems
  • 3D Viewing commands
  • Wireframe modeling
  • Surface modeling

Description:
This course is designed for professionals with little or no AutoCAD experience. The demonstrations consist of hands-on guidance through AutoCAD commands followed by short, self-paced exercises. During the course, students can use either DOS or Windows-based AutoCAD.
