Problem:
If not properly covered, cold metal surfaces in ships can produce condensate which results in liquid build-up, corrosion, and unnecessary cleanup requirements.
Solution:
New commercially available "latex/ceramic" paints claim to significantly reduce condensation and corrosion. These products will be tested against existing standard Navy anti-condensate paints.
Fleet Impact:
There is currently a great deal of confusion by Fleet personnel and engineers about these Ceramic products. This project will quantitatively determine the validity of the manufacturer's claims.

Applications:
All Surface Ship locations with a history of condensation problems.
